Maintenance Engineering Technician
Location: Taunton
Salary: £42,000 – £44,000 per year
Hours: Monday – Friday, rotating shifts (6 a.m.–2 p.m. / 2 p.m.–10 p.m.)

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineering Technician to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Taunton. This role combines mechanical and electrical maintenance with precision fabrication and workshop support to ensure production equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.
You’ll play a vital part in minimizing downtime, improving tooling and machinery reliability, and supporting the site’s continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and facilities equipment.

Diagnose faults quickly and implement effective engineering solutions.

Contribute to process improvements and manufacturing efficiency.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.

Support Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing Excellence activities.
*
Mentor apprentices and share technical knowledge across teams.
About You

Apprentice-trained or qualified in an engineering discipline.

Skilled in mechanical and electrical maintenance of industrial machinery.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
*
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Proactive with an innovation-driven mindset.
