Job Description
We're working with a world class manufacturer based in Chorley looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer wanting to transition to a more asset care/reliability focussed role.
This role will report into the Group Continuous Improvement Manager and will involve runnning projects to improve equipment reliability and process.
You don't need any specific knowledge on continuous imporvement, just a passion for wanting to improve OEE.
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000
Shift: Mon - Fri Days
What Were Looking For Essential:
• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing focused role.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Passion for learning, coaching, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and execute CI projects using Lean Six Sigma tools.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, and Standard Work documentation.
• Drive waste reduction and process optimisation across sites.
• Support new product and process introductions, including trials and validations.
• Coach and mentor CI practitioners and cross-functional teams.
• Analyse performance gaps and implement solutions to meet KPIs.
• Collaborate with leadership to align CI strategy with business goals.
• Benchmark best practices and assess feasibility for implementation.
• Improve manufacturing and warehouse layouts for better flow and efficiencyBefore You Apply
