Job Description

Maintenance Engineer
Location: Near Faversham
Rate: £30.15-£35.15 per hour (PAYE)
Shift Pattern: 4 On, 4 Off Days/Nights

gap technical is proud to represent an industry-leading business in their search for an Electrically Biased Contract Maintenance Engineer to support their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide maintenance support to operations by swiftly responding to equipment breakdowns.
Perform scheduled maintenance and proactively address recurring machine processing faults.
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults efficiently using machine history and documentation.
Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure smooth production flow.
Train operational staff to perform minor maintenance tasks and assist in major repairs.
Maintain and repair machinery to a high standard, ensuring operational efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce engineering downtime.

Candidate Requirements:

Ideally, a time-served engineering apprenticeship.
17th Edition Wiring Regulations (Minimum)
Experience in Food, FMCG, or Automated Storage is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of mechanical drive systems and pneumatics is highly desirable.
