Our marine client requires a Shore based Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Liverpool. As a Shore based Maintenance Engineer you will support the Technical Manager in ensuring the safe operation of vessels within the businesses Pilot Boat service contract.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
* You must have served time as a Marine Engineer, Plant Engineer, 4th Engineer or equivalent.
* Flexibility of working hours to participate in an on-call rota with availability required every third week.
* You must have a full UK Driving License.
* You must be within 1 hour commuting distance of Marine Base, Liverpool.
* Self-motivated, work on own initiative.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Carry out maintenance and repair of all engineering, electrical and hull systems and equipment on pilot boats, gig boats, oil spill response vessels and survey boats.
* Undertake scheduled maintenance activities in line with the planned maintenance programme.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of mechanical and electrical spare parts inventory.
* Carry out fault finding.
* Carry out work in accordance with health and safety protocols.
