We are recruiting for an established manufacturer with a highly automated production facility in the Burnley area. You’ll join an experienced engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving a varied range of modern production machinery.
This is a permanent role offering approximately £44,000, with additional overtime paid at time and a half.
The role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will:
* Diagnose electrical and mechanical breakdowns
* Complete planned and preventative maintenance
* Fault-find PLC-controlled production machinery
* Maintain motors, drives, sensors, conveyors and control systems
* Work with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
* Read electrical and mechanical drawings
* Support equipment installations and improvements
* Help reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
What we’re looking for
You should have:
* A Level 3 electrical or electrical/electronic engineering qualification
* Alternatively, a completed engineering apprenticeship with strong electrical experience
* Maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong electrical fault-finding ability
* Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
* A practical and proactive approach to solving problems
Experience within an automated manufacturing environment would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from engineers across a range of manufacturing sectors.
Package and hours
* Approximately £44,000 including shift allowance
* Rotating days and afternoons
* No night shifts
* 35-hour standard working week
* Early finish on Fridays
* Overtime available at time and a half
