Job Description
We need a Maintenance Engineer for an advanced precision engineering manufacturing company based in Basildon, Essex.
Responsible for maintaining the equipment and processes that allow the business to run efficiently. Identifying potential problems early before they cause failures.
Salary £22.70 (includes shift allowance)
Working rotating shifts, Monday to Friday
37 hours, working two-shift rotation:

* Early Shift: Mon to Thurs, 6 am – 2 pm & Friday, 6 am – 1.30 pm
* Late Shift: Mon to Thurs, 1.45 pm – 9.45 pm & Friday, 1.15 pm – 8.45 pm
* This role will be part of the maintenance team which consists of 2 others.
Key Responsibilities
* General maintenance for site & facility
* Machine repair covering Makino/Mazak/Matsuura/Okuma
* Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) to cover all machining centres
* Running machine capability studies
* Arranging and management of repairs/machine breakdown with contractors
* Planning and scheduling machine servicing
* Planning and scheduling calibration for inspection electronic measuring equipment
* LOLER safety equipment checks on all lifting equipment
* Raising purchase orders and negotiating price
* Budget management
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Experience of Engineering within a manufacturing environment
* Good machine repair knowledge
* Experience and skills in set-up of precision assemblies, the use of machine tools, fault finding and problem solving
* Geometric checks on work centres (desirable)
