Maintenance Engineer – Plymouth

At TQR Plymouth we’re delighted to be working with this innovative manufacturer whose products are used in domestic and commercial settings the world over. They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their fast-paced Plymouth site.

The Role
As a key member of the site engineering team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring production runs smoothly by delivering both reactive and preventative maintenance across a wide range of pneumatic and electro-mechanical systems. You’ll also support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on production machinery
* Diagnose and resolve faults on pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
* Assist with the installation and optimisation of new production lines and equipment
* Support contractor management, ensuring compliance with RAMS and site procedures
* Contribute to the development and improvement of existing equipment and processes
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment - primarily mechanically focussed, but it'll be a real bonus if you have electrical experience too.
* Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical fault-finding
* Familiarity with PPM schedules
* Understanding of automation and control systems; PLC knowledge is a plus
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Engineering Level 3 or 5, HNC/HND, City & Guilds) or equivalent experience
* IOSH and Working at Height certifications are desirable
