Location: Howden, UK
Salary: £39,000 – £42,000 per annum + Shift Allowance (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are looking to recruit Mechanical / Electrical Engineers to join our expanding team at our site in Howden. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment with a company that continues to grow year on year.
This is a full-time position working a rotating shift pattern of mornings and afternoons. The salary on offer ranges from £39,000 to £42,000, plus shift allowance, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance requirements.
* Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, equipment, and plant using both mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.
* Follow up on any faults identified during scheduled PPM checks.
* Take ownership of your working area, monitoring key KPIs such as breakdown frequency, and maintain a strong service-oriented mindset towards operations.
* Keep all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
* Contribute positively to the ongoing success of the business with a proactive, can-do attitude.
As part of your responsibilities, you must ensure you have read, understood, and comply with all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures, as outlined in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
About You
Essential:
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Excellent fault-finding and technical skills.
* Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
* Strong teamworking and problem-solving abilities.
* Able to use your own initiative and take ownership of tasks.
Desirable:
* 18th Edition (current IEE Wiring Regulations).
* Welding and fabrication experience.
* Understanding of PLC systemsBefore You Apply
