My client have been successfully manufacturing for years. Boasting one of the best reputations for hiring maintenance engineers and keeping hold of them. They are constantly innovating and bringing new ideas to the market, this has enabled them to grow from strength to strength and are currently expanding due to a full order book. They are looking for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer, not a superstar (yet!) they will provide an unbeatable training including electrical up-skilling. The Engineering Manager has been there since his apprenticeship and worked his way up so will show you the ropes and help follow the same career path if you want it.
Benefits for the mechanical maintenance engineer:
Great basic salary overtime
Informal and formal training opportunities
Bonus
Progression into more senior roles down the line
Great staff retention
Experience required for the mechanical maintenance engineer:
Qualified to level 3 (NVQ/C&G) or Apprenticeship served in a mechanical discipline
Is advantageous, this can be through the military (ex-forces)
least 4 years experience maintaining/repairing special purpose machinery - any heavy industry is advantageous but not a deal breaker
mechanically competent - hydraulics/pneumatics, bearings, straps, belts, chains etc.
Any mechanical maintenance engineer from manufacturing or ex-forces welcome to apply – FMCG, Food, plastic, packaging, Pharmaceutical, foundry, brick, distribution, automotive, metals, RAF, Navy, army, military, etc
