Job Description
Our client is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of a wide range of production equipment and site facilities. This hands-on role involves both preventive and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical skills, experience with robotic systems, and a proactive approach to health, safety, and compliance.
Reports to:
Site Facilities and Safety Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, ensuring operational readiness and reliability.
Diagnose and repair faults, update maintenance records and suggest improvements to optimise safety, uptime, and production costs.
Ensure effective shift handovers (written and digital).
Maintain site facilities including compressors, boilers, chillers, fire systems, and general building infrastructure.
Participate in equipment commissioning and process developments.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
Maintain clean and organized workspaces within the maintenance department.
Required Skills & Experience:
Time-served engineering apprenticeship (desirable).
Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance (essential).
Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good IT competency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills; calm under pressure.
Experience with robot maintenance (essential) and PLCs (desirable).
Willingness to undertake further training, such as forklift truck operation if needed.
