Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team in a manufacturing environment. The role involves maintaining a variety of standard and custom-built machinery, ensuring equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably. This includes both planned and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and effectively
Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules
Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerised system
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Conduct quality checks and support wider engineering projects
Collaborate with colleagues on larger tasks and provide support where needed
Share knowledge and coach team members when appropriateSkills & Experience Required:
Recognised qualifications in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Familiarity with welding, hydraulics, and machining is advantageous
Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot effectively
A hands-on, solution-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
Flexible approach to working hours, including overtime and weekends when requiredPackage:
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
Hours: 37 per week
Shift Options:
AM: Mon-Thurs 06:00-13:30, Fri 06:00-13:00 (Premium shift allowance)
PM: Mon-Thurs 13:15-20:45, Fri 13:00-20:00 (Premium shift allowance)
Overtime:
Mon-Sat (up to 14:00): 1.5x
Sat (after 14:00) & Sun: 2x
Pension: Up to 6% employer match
Life Assurance: 5x salary (if enrolled in pension)
