Maintenance Engineer £40,000-£42,000 Monday-Friday Pattern (3 Shift) Gap Technical are partnering with a forward-thinking organisation, renowned for its inclusive culture and commitment to diversity. They are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Our client offers a supportive and engaging work environment, alongside a wide range of employee benefits. Performance Objectives
Perform reactive maintenance to minimise production downtime.
Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on machinery and equipment (mechanical and electrical, if competent).
Maintain site utilities, buildings, and support services in line with legal and safety standards.
Support machine uptime by addressing faults, performing repairs, and completing maintenance tasks.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing engineering solutions.
Support the installation of new equipment, as required.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and minimise disruption.
Ensure all work meets Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Hygiene standards.What We're Looking For:
Strong knowledge of health & safety and food safety regulations.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A proactive mindset and a problem-solving approach.
Willingness to support cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively.Person Specification
The successful candidate will ideally of completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship
A background in Food/FMCG/Packaging Manufacturing will be a distinct advantage
HNC Qualification Highly Desirable Apply
