Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer for the maintenance and repair of production and associated equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Location: Diss, Norfolk
Hours: 6pm to 6:00am 4 On 4 Off
Salary: £20.59 Per Hour / Overtime Paid at X1.3

Job Duties:
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance to ensure plant efficiency and minimise downtime.
* Deliver high-quality repair work and respond swiftly to breakdowns across all plant and services.
* Ensure all tasks comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Quality standards always.
* Accurately complete maintenance records, including handovers and updates in the Pirana system.
* Identify, report, and resolve faults or potential issues across equipment and services.
* Support smooth operations by working collaboratively with the wider factory team.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and promote a clean, safe working environment.
* Use engineering resources effectively to provide flexible, site-wide support.
* Suggest and implement improvements to plant performance and engineering efficiency.
* Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through proactive maintenance and process enhancements.
What we are looking for:
* Fully qualified Engineer (preferably time-served)
* Knowledge of packaging and processing equipment is highly desirable
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently
* Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* A team player who can also work independently
