Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanical Engineer
Scope of the Function
We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer. The candidate will be working within a small team of engineers and will be responsible for providing a maintenance and improvements to production. This role will be 3 shifts working - 38 hour week with breaks paid.
Main Responsibilities
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on:
* Fault finding on hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, with an understanding of schematic drawings.
* Competent fabrication and machining skills
* Safety checks on moving equipment
* Mechanical PMI’s
* Tool changes
* Facility services and equipment, including boilers, compressors, pumps, air handling units, extraction fans.
* Small installation jobs along with improvement projects
* To carry out any other duties reasonably requested by your manager.
* Ensure all TPMs are correct and up to date.
* Manage tools to be ready for production.
* Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested.
Education
* Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship
* Qualified to NVQ 3 or equivalent.
Skills/Essential
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* A willingness to undertake necessary training to further your knowledge as to business needs.
* Assisting the Electrical Team when needed
Experience
* At least 5 years plant maintenance experience
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 38 hrs per week. Mon–Thur 8 hrs / Fri 6 hrs.
Working pattern: 3 shifts (6-2, 2-10, 10-6)
Bonus: Up to 5% paid quarterly
