Job Description
We are currently working within an automated production facility recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, along with skills to support the daily production operation by ensuring we have full machine capacity which will aid us to achieve high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency for our customers.
Responsibilities:
* As a Maintenance Machine Fitter, you will, set, service and repair production machinery and equipment.
* You will have to work on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* The job covers 3 areas – setting the machines, preventative (planned) maintenance, and emergency maintenance.
* Setting the machines;
* Preventative maintenance, making scheduled checks on machinery and parts as per PPM schedule.
* Oiling and cleaning machinery and parts
* Assist in finding and fixing faults and setting the production machines.
* To support production team during their shift
* Maintain an ongoing check and maintenance for all safety interlocks and secure fitting of protective guards.
* Be flexible to undertake non-routine tasks or duties.
Skills and Experience:
* Vocational or technical education (Mechanical Technician preferred)
* Precision/Production Machinery Mechanic
* Experience in a production or maintenance environment preferred but not essential
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and on own initiative
* Be proactive in attitude and approach to department needs
* Problem solving and methodical thinking skills
Working Mon - Fri with weekend overtime. Rotating shifts weekly 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pmBefore You Apply
