Keep production moving in a busy food manufacturing environment and play a key role in ensuring efficiency and quality. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineer to join a well-established and respected business. You’ll be working with a variety of production machinery, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out essential maintenance to keep everything running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing:
* Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of machinery, including rollers, conveyors, line machines, motors, and heat exchangers
* Responding to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime and keep production on track
* Planning and completing scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent issues and extend equipment life
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and implementing safe, practical solutions
* Working closely with production teams to ensure output targets are met and exceeded
* Maintaining strict safety, hygiene, and quality standards always to ensure compliance and best practice
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven engineering experience within the food manufacturing industry
* Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
* Ideally experienced in hygienic welding and/or refrigeration systems
* CAD drawing experience would be beneficial for design and planning work
* Knowledge and hands-on experience with motors and heat exchangers
* Excellent hygiene standards and attention to detail in all aspects of work
* Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, especially during breakdowns
* A reliable team player who can also work independently when required
