As a Shift Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running, solving complex engineering challenges, and working with equipment that will push your skills further than most environments ever could. What You’ll Be Doing
*
Delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of heavy plant and machinery.
*
Quickly diagnosing and resolving mechanical or electrical faults to minimise downtime.
*
Playing a hands-on part in continuous improvement, reliability, and efficiency projects.
*
Supporting major shutdowns, upgrades, and long-term capex investments.
*
Working within a high-performing engineering team where safety, quality, and teamwork come first.
What We’re Looking For
*
A time-served Mechanical OR Electrical Engineer (apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ, or equivalent).
*
Solid background in heavy industry, steel, glass, chemical, cement, or similar manufacturing sectors.
*
Comfortable with 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shifts in a continuous production environment (2D, 2N).
*
A natural problem solver with the drive to keep things moving and the confidence to take ownership of issues.
