Maintenance Engineer
Crewe
£30.15 per hour (PAYE)
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Days/Nights)
gap technical is proud to represent an industry-leading business in their search for a Contract Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide fast and effective maintenance support by responding to equipment breakdowns.
Carry out planned/scheduled maintenance and proactively tackle recurring machine faults.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues efficiently using machine history and documentation.
Work collaboratively with production/operations teams to ensure smooth manufacturing flow.
Maintain and repair machinery to a high standard, ensuring maximum uptime.
Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce engineering downtime.
Candidate Requirements
Ideally a time-served engineering apprenticeship.
17th Edition Wiring Regulations (minimum).
Experience within Food, FMCG, or Automated Storage industries (advantageous but not essential).
Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
Knowledge of mechanical drive systems and pneumatics (highly desirable).
