Maintenance Engineer – £52,500 – Nottingham (NG20)
4 on 4 off – Days & Nights, 12 Hour Shifts – 5% Pension + Gym (£5/month), Showers, Lockers, and 20% Staff Discount
About the client
ATA are supporting one of the UK’s largest automated logistics centres, part of a global business with 25,000+ employees and operations in 25 countries. This site is a 3 million square foot distribution centre – the largest in the UK – with over £250 million invested into the facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a highly skilled team in a new and innovative site.
What you’ll be doing
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, fault finding, and repairing a variety of high-tech equipment. Key responsibilities include:
Electrical: Fault finding across three-phase systems, panels, sensors, contactors, relays, E-stops, and using a multimeter.
Mechanical: Strip and rebuild components such as belts, gearboxes, bearings, pulleys, chains, and pneumatic systems, with minor hydraulics.
Supporting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) using CMMS, including general checks, lubrication, voltage testing, and rebuilds.
Assisting Continuous Improvement (CI) projects as required.
What the client is looking for
To succeed as a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll need:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Confident electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Flexible attitude with the ability to work in a supportive and structured engineering team.
Engineering experience open to candidates from across industries.
