MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
💥 PONTYPOOL
💥 PERMANENT: MONDAY TO FRIDAY DAYS
💥 SALARY £38500 - £42000 NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
RSW are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role with our client who are opening a brand new site in Pontypool. This role is permanent and offers excellent progression opportunities. There may be travel required to the Gloucester site however expenses will be covered.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement reliability maintenance best practices.
Conduct scheduled maintenance activities and respond to work requests as needed.
Perform facility maintenance and plant maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operations.
Identify and develop new maintenance procedures, providing feedback to planners for improvement.
Assist in creating and maintaining safe work practices, including permits to work, risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, and SOPs.
Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, BRC, PUWER, LOLER, and safety protocols).
Review critical spare parts daily and address any issues impacting reliability.
Actively participate in LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure equipment uptime and reliability.
Comply with all legal, statutory, and company safety requirements.
Engage in personal development and training activities to enhance skills.
Contribute to project and improvement work during periods of reduced workload
Skills and Experiences:
Time served Engineer (mechanical or electrical) – City & Guilds or HNC as a minimum
IOSH is desirable
Must have minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Strong Multiskilled skillset.
Proficient Microsoft user.
Excellent follow up skills.
Problem solver with the ability to find cost effective solutions.
