MAINTENANCE ENGINEER REQUIRED IN STOKE ON TRENT, STAFFORDSHIRE!! Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer seeking a new job opportunity within Stoke on Trent, and do you have experience working with drives or controls equipment?! We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to work on a permanent afternoon shift for a manufacturing business based in Stoke on Trent, the working hours for this role are 12.30 - 9pm Monday to Friday (40 hour week), and the annual salary is up to £50,000 per annum (DOE). The hiring manager is looking for someone who has experience in drives and controls equipment diagnostics and repair, as well as someone who has a strong understanding of electronic systems. is proficient with schematic drawings and experience in component level repairs without the use of schematics. A HND or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Electronics Engineering would be advantageous, as well as someone having a knowledge of OEM standards and PLC Programming. What You Will Do: Diagnose and assess drives and controls equipment, interpreting technical documents to identify faults. Perform repairs and refurbishments following established procedures to ensure equipment reliability. Conduct thorough post-repair testing to guarantee quality and functionality. Accurately record diagnostics, work carried out, labour, and spares via the company's business operating system. Provide on-site support to customers, investigating equipment failures and facilitating workshop repairs. Collaborate with colleagues and management to meet project deadlines and maintain high standards. What You Will Bring: Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing drives and controls equipment. Strong understanding of electronic systems and proficiency with diagnostic tools and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Technical certification such as NVQ Level 3 or HND would be advantageous.
