We are currently looking for an experience Maintenance Fitter for our client who are a long established and growing manufacturing business in Troon!
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking operation offering long-term career development and excellent shift-based earnings.
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 off , 12-hour rotating shifts (Days: 6am-6pm / Nights: 6pm-6am)
Key Responsibilities
*
Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain high levels of plant throughput
*
Carry out repairs, replacements, and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical plant equipment
*
Use internal IT systems to record maintenance activity and track repair work
*
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using diagnostic systems and practical methods
*
Support large-scale maintenance projects during summer and winter overhauls
*
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance team meetings
*
Complete and comply with work permits, ensuring all activity meets health and safety standards
What We Are Looking For:
*
Fully qualified Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent engineering qualification)
*
Proven experience in a heavy mechanical or industrial manufacturing environment
*
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability
*
A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate across departments
*
Flexible and willing to work a 24/7 rotating shift pattern
*
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and operational standards
*
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
