Job Description
My client in the Cudworth area of Barnsley require an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Welder.
Duties of the Role
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
Maintain tools, welding equipment and fabrication machinery
Support health & safety protocols and compliance standards
Assist in site upgrades and installation prep.
Experience Required
Hands on experience in facility or machinery maintenance (in a welding/fabrication environment)
Familiarity with MIG, TIG, plasma cutters, CNC machines, and workshop tools
Eye for detail, safety-first mindset and a “can do” attitude
Able to work alone or as part of a team
Qualification in mechanical/electrical disciplines (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds) would be desirable but not essential.
Working Hrs (7am - 4.30pm)
