Job Description
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join the senior management team at our client’s manufacturing facility at their East Ayrshire site where you will be expected to lead and develop a team of engineers, ensuring plant reliability and production efficiency while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a small team of engineers, promoting a proactive and high-performing maintenance culture.
* Ensure maintenance activities are effectively planned and executed to support production goals.
* Monitor and manage the maintenance budget and KPIs.
* Drive continuous improvement using TPM/Lean principles.
* Analyse breakdowns and implement long-term solutions.
* Promote a strong safety and hygiene culture in line with company and legal standards.
About You
* Proven experience in an engineering leadership role within food or FMCG manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of TPM/Lean practices and engineering compliance.
* Confident managing performance and coaching teams.
* Comfortable working in a unionised environment.
* HNC/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field preferred).
* Results-driven with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
