Are you a Maintenance Manager looking to step into an Operations Manager role for a thriving and growing business?
Do you come from a manufacturing, heavy engineering, chemical, or similar industry background?
An excellent opportunity is available for a Maintenance Manager to take on an operational role, overseeing a site of approx. 100 employees. You will work cross-functionally in the delivery of various change and improvement projects, given complete industry training as you go.
We are seeking an experienced people leader with a proven track record in driving change and developing team. You will have excellent experience in change & project management, and experience with budgetary control.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will:
* Lead and develop a team of 5 direct reports (3 Production Supervisors and 2 Maintenance Professionals) and a wider team of circa 100 indirect staff.
* Drive operational excellence through strong leadership, coaching, and the implementation of best practices.
* Champion and deliver change management initiatives, challenging the status quo and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
* Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Engineering, HSE, Logistics and other business functions to deliver on operational objectives.
* Manage and control budgets, with full P&L responsibilities of the site.
* Oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
About You
* Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Operations Manager or similar
* Experienced working in the manufacturing, heavy engineering, chemical or similar.
* Excellent leadership qualities with experience developing and empowering teams.
* Experience delivering successful change management programmes.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Has demonstrable experience with budgetary control
* Is highly organised with strong project management capabilities.
