Part-Time Maintenance Operative – Royal Quays Marina, North Shields
Hours: 30 per week

 I'm supporting a well‑established marina in North Shields with the recruitment of a Part-Time Maintenance Operative. If you enjoy practical, hands-on work and like the idea of spending your days by the water, this could be a fantastic fit.

 This role sits within a friendly, safety-focused team and plays a key part in keeping the marina and boatyard safe, compliant, and well presented for berth holders and visitors. It’s a varied, active position ideal for someone with solid maintenance experience and a proactive approach.

 What the employer is looking for

 To be considered for this role, you should bring:

Practical maintenance experience—general repairs or a relevant trade background
The ability to work independently and use your initiative
Strong awareness of health & safety and safe working practices
Experience with typical maintenance tasks such as painting, basic carpentry, minor plumbing, and site repairs
A full UK driving licence (essential)
Experience within a marina, boatyard, or similar environment (desirable)
Experience operating plant or boat hoists (advantageous, with training provided if needed)What’s on offer
