Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Birmingham
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 3:30pm; Friday, 7:30am - 3:00pm
Hourly Rate: £12.47 (equivalent to approx. £24,897 annually)
About the Role
Are you passionate about working outdoors and making a visible difference in local communities? We're looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a friendly and hardworking team responsible for maintaining green spaces to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
Grass cutting and collection
Hedge and bush trimming and shaping
Strimming and weed control
Shrub maintenance, pruning, and planting
Litter picking and green waste disposal
Maintenance of hard standing areas
Use of petrol-powered machinery and ride-on mowers
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role
Confident using grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
Physically fit and capable of manual work
Team player with a positive attitude
Good communication skills and customer service awareness
Ability to maintain basic work records
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety practices
Full UK driving licence requiredDesirable Qualifications (not essential):
PA1 & PA6 spraying licence
Banksman training
Trailer licence
