Shopping Centre - Portsmouth (PO1)

Up to £37,500 | Monday–Friday | 1 in 7 Call-Out | Training & Progression

Looking for a varied maintenance role on one of Portsmouth's busiest and most iconic commercial sites?

We're recruiting a Maintenance Plumber to join a well-established team at a high-end shopping centre. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, take pride in delivering a first-class service and want to be part of a supportive engineering team, this could be the perfect opportunity.

  * 1 in 7 call-out rota – extremely low volume (just four call-outs last year)

The Role

As part of the on-site maintenance team, you'll carry out a wide range of planned and reactive plumbing works across this busy retail and leisure destination.

Your responsibilities will include:

  * Tap repairs and replacements

  * Clearing blockages

  * Diagnosing and repairing leaks

  * General plumbing maintenance

  * Small plumbing installations

  * Supporting with basic mechanical maintenance when required

  * Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

  * Responding to reactive maintenance requests and ensuring high service standards

No two days are the same, so you'll need to be comfortable working in a busy environment and managing a varied workload.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  * City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (essential)

  * Experience in commercial maintenance or building services

  * Strong fault-finding and repair skills

  * A proactive attitude and the ability to work well within a team

  * Good communication and customer service skills

  * The flexibility to support occasional mechanical maintenance tasks
