Job Title: Roofing Surveyor (General Maintenance)
Location: West / East Midlands / North Wales
Sector: Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
The Role:
Our client is currently seeking a skilled Roofing Surveyor to join their team, specialising in undertaking Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) roofing reports and surveys for their clients establishments. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, assessing, and reporting on the condition of roofs across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and delivering accurate, detailed survey reports to support maintenance planning and project delivery.
Sectors include: Retail, Hospitality, Education & Commercial Properties
Duties will include:
* Conduct thorough inspections and surveys for our client roofs, including flat, pitched, and other roofing systems.
* Identify existing roof issues, potential risks, and areas requiring maintenance or repair.
* Prepare detailed, accurate PPM roofing reports, including photographic evidence, condition assessments, and recommended actions.
* Liaise with our clients property and maintenance teams to coordinate survey schedules and communicate findings.
* Prioritise surveyed sites based on urgency and condition, providing clear reporting to enable timely intervention.
* Ensure all surveys adhere to health and safety regulations, site access protocols, and client requirements.
* Maintain detailed records of all inspections, reports, and correspondence.
* Keep abreast of current roofing technologies, materials, and best practices to inform assessments.
* Assist in project planning, including cost estimation and resource allocation for roofing maintenance and repairs.
* Support ongoing relationship management with the client and contractors as required.
* Physical capability to undertake site surveys, including access to roofs and confined spaces.
* Experience working with clients in retail or hospitality sectors is advantageous.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a roofing surveyor or similar role.
* Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and maintenance techniques.
* Strong understanding of hazard identification and risk assessment.
* Ability to produce clear, concise reports and documentation.
* Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel between sites.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
