Job Description
Our client is a market leader in the metals manufacturing sector. As a result of an increased workload they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer/ Supervisor to join their successful business.
The role will be predominantly shop floor based organising scheduled maintenance and dealing with day to day breakdowns and emergencies as and when they occur. There will be the need for some desk work so the candidate must be computer literate in excel and word.
Duties to involve:
Supervising a small team and reporting directly to the Operations Director.
Performing planned maintenance, fixing faults and responding to emergency breakdown in and outside working hours
Organising and working with subcontractors.
Responsible for the creation of permit to works and carrying out contractor inductions
Responsible for ensuring repairs are carried out in a timely manner with minimal disruption to production.
Ensuring equipment and spares are at a suitable level and that those levels are maintained both physically and updated systematically.
Responsible for the Health & Safety of the team and works they are carrying out.
Position is days only Monday to Friday - hours and times to be confirmed
