Maintenance Supervisor
Howden, UK
£45,000 per annum + Quarterly Bonus of up to £1,000
Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:30
About the Role
We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our expanding team based at our Howden site. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring operational efficiency and minimal disruption to production.
This role offers a competitive salary of £45,000, along with the opportunity to earn a Quarterly Bonus of up to £1,000.
Main Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Site Engineering Manager to effectively plan workloads and allocate tasks, ensuring priorities are addressed.
* Collaborate with departmental managers to arrange repairs and planned maintenance with minimal impact on operations.
* Liaise with suppliers to procure appropriate materials required for repairs and project work.
* Ensure all repairs and building works are completed to a high standard and in compliance with relevant regulations.
* Act as the key link between the Engineering Manager and the Maintenance team, ensuring clear communication of updates and business changes.
* Monitor team performance and output, highlighting any concerns to management as appropriate.
* Ensure full adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures as detailed in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
About You
Essential skills and experience:
* HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Demonstrable track record of delivering results in a similar supervisory or engineering management role
* Self-motivated, organised, and capable of prioritising workloads effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
* 18th Edition qualification in line with current IEE regulations
* Previous experience within the woodworking industry
* Familiarity with PLC systems
* Experience planning and delivering preventative maintenance (PPM) alongside reactive maintenanceBefore You Apply
