What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and support a team of engineers and technicians
* Plan, schedule and deliver PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance)
* Respond quickly to breakdowns to keep downtime to a minimum
* Manage contractors and issue permits to work
* Drive health & safety compliance across site
* Mentor apprentices and develop junior engineers
* Support continuous improvement projects to boost reliability and efficiency
* This is a hands-on leadership role – perfect if you enjoy combining technical involvement with team management.
What We’re Looking For
* Solid experience in planned and reactive maintenance within manufacturing, production, or process industries
* Proven background as a Maintenance Supervisor / Team Leader (or strong step-up potential if you’ve deputised previously)
* Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills (electrical or mechanical bias)
* Confident managing contractors and using permit-to-work systems
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or above) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Apprenticeship background highly desirable

Easily commutable from Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Coventry, Birmingham & Solihull.
