Maintenance Team Leader
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 (including shift allowance)
Location: Redditch
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts including nights (with long weekends)
A leading tier-one automotive manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to support the growth of its maintenance function. This role comes at a pivotal time as the business invests in new machinery and expands its engineering team to meet increased production demands.
Role Overview:
The Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for leading a shift-based team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems across the site. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and the ability to drive planned maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
* Deliver and manage planned maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
* Provide technical support and fault-finding expertise,
* Support the integration and commissioning of new machinery.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in a mechanical/electrical maintenance leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* An understanding of PLC systems, ideally with Siemens is highly desirable
* Ability to lead and motivate teams across rotating shifts.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and team development.
Shift Details:
* Three rotating shifts (but design to have long weekends)#
