School Maintenance Team Member | Horsham | £29,000 - £30,000 per annum | Full-Time
This school is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Team Member to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school site through effective maintenance, repair, and upkeep of equipment and grounds. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and service.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across the school site.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
Liaise with external suppliers and contractors when required.
Keep school grounds clean, safe, and litter free.
Complete and document scheduled health and safety checks.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and replacements.Experience and Skills required
Proven experience in general maintenance or facilities roles (preferably in education).
Ability to carry out a range of DIY tasks confidently.
Previous experience in a school setting is desirable.
Strong customer service skills and clear communication.
Reliable, motivated, and safety-conscious approach to work.Benefits
