Maintenance Technician Do you have a solid understanding and proven track record in the maintenance of buildings, services, and equipment? Do you have machine maintenance experience or facilities maintenance experience Company Description My client is a dynamic and ambitious manufacturing company that is known for its technical proficiency and has recently joined a global business. At their production facility, they are equipped to prepare, manufacture, pack, warehouse, receive, and dispatch our full range of materials and products through a comprehensive set of resources and a dedicated team that makes it happen. The Role Are you enthusiastic, passionate, and eager to make a difference with a proactive attitude? We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with a solid understanding and proven track record in the maintenance of buildings, services, and equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be integral to our operations, ensuring that our facilities run smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Preventative Maintenance: Proactively identify and address maintenance needs to prevent breakdowns. Maintenance Execution: Perform maintenance tasks, including working with compressed air systems, production equipment, pipe fitting, basic electrical maintenance, and construction work. Contractor Engagement: Liaise with external contractors to ensure quality and efficiency in maintenance tasks. Improvement Projects: Identify and implement improvements; manage the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of projects. Compliance and Safety: Participate actively in the health and safety team, maintaining compliance with safety standards. Inventory and Procurement: Assist with maintenance stock inventory, order spare parts, and source quotes for maintenance supplies. Equipment Management: Conduct inspections and maintain check sheets as required.The Person To be successful in this role, you will need: A recognised operational qualification or apprenticeship in maintenance. Strong decision-making skills with a focus on hazard identification and risk management. A general safety certificate or similar qualification. The ability to effectively communicate business and departmental objectives, fostering an informed and engaged team culture. Excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues at all levels. A clear awareness of health and safety principles and specific issues, prioritizing the safety and comfort of the workforce and visitors. Flexibility, adaptability, and a strong commitment to the role.Other info: Full time , permanent £30k-£40k 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday (37.5hours paid) 24 days of holiday plus bank holidays Pension Free parking Ongoing training and personal development Why Join Us?
