Maintenance Technician / Multiskilled Engineer
Location: Birstall, West Yorkshire

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £39,000-£40,000 per annum

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer on behalf of our client, a long-established and highly respected manufacturer with over 140 years of industry expertise. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong electrical and mechanical skills who's looking for a stable, well-supported career within a global organisation.

About the Role

As a Multiskilled Engineer, you'll carry out a range of technical tasks under the guidance of an Engineering Lead. The role involves preventative maintenance, working with PLC-controlled systems, and handling both pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. You'll be joining a business that prides itself on safety, innovation, and empowering its people.

What We're Looking For
* A recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship
* 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
* Strong background in preventative maintenance
* Experience with PLC/computer-controlled systems
* Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Mechanical fitting, plumbing, pipe work, and welding skills
* Strong communication skills and solid understanding of Health & Safety
* A reliable, conscientious, and proactive approach

* Ability to work rotating shifts:
o Week 1: Mon-Thurs 06:00-14:00 | Fri 06:00-12:00
o Week 2: Mon-Thurs 13:45-21:45 | Fri 11:45-17:45
Training for Confined Space, IPAF, and FLT will be provided.

Pay & Benefits
* Salary: £39,000-£40,000 per year

Salary is based on experience, skill set, qualifications, and organisational requirements. Additional incentives may also be available.
