Maintenance Instrumentation Electrician
(BRITISH CITIZENS ONLY - Must be eligible for SC clearance and willing to obtain DV clearance)
This role involves various roles in nuclear science and technology, including core science, innovation, and strategic research. Location: Sellafield Site (Non-Hybrid, 4-Day Work Week)
This role offers a 4-day workweek schedule, allowing all hours to be completed Monday through Thursday.
Hours: 6:15 AM - 4:15 PM
Salary from £40,000 - £45,000 inc allowances

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join our team at the Sellafield site. Candidates must have a strong instrumentation background, ideally in BMS systems, nuclear, or industrial settings. Experience from the forces, oil & gas, offshore, or water industries
Key Responsibilities:
Working on temperature loop systems and related instrumentation.
Supporting system operations in a high-standard environment.
Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and implement safe electrical isolations.
Support project activities, installations, and system upgrades. i.e temperature loop systems
Interpret single-line drawings, manuals, and technical instructions.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and site standards.
Take a lead in driving operational excellence and reliability across plant systems.
Requirements:
Must be eligible for SC clearance and willing to obtain DV clearance.
Previous experience in the nuclear, defence, offshore, oil & gas, or water industries. Forces backgrounds are also considered.
Time-served Electrician or Instrument Mechanic
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
Must have an instrumentation background, either BMS systems, nuclear or industrial or Military background
Self-motivated, resilient, and capable of working under pressure.
Able to make sound decisions in high-pressure environments.
Eligible for Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance
