Salary: £30,000-£38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a busy manufacturing site in Widnes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Respond quickly and safely to equipment and facility breakdowns
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, including TPM activities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems
Perform electrical installations in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition)
Maintain site utilities, workshop equipment, and general facilities
Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Accurately document all maintenance and compliance activities
What We're Looking For
Experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
18th Edition BS 7671 certification (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent)
Strong diagnostic and repair skills across electrical and mechanical systems
Familiarity with CNC machines (e.g., Mazak, Hardinge, DMG), pneumatics, and hydraulics
TIG welding and fabrication skills (preferred)
Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
A proactive, safety-conscious approach with strong teamwork and communication skills
