Role: Management Accountant
Location: Lytham
Salary: Up to £40,000
I’m currently working with a valued client who’s looking to bring a Management Accountant into their established finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of management reporting, deliver meaningful analysis, and play an integral role in supporting commercial decision-making.
About the Opportunity
My client is seeking someone who can produce accurate monthly accounts, manage VAT submissions, assist with the audit process, and deliver insightful financial analysis. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders—including the Group Chairman, Executive PA, and the broader finance team—to uphold strong financial control and help drive performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
*
Preparation of month-end journals and detailed profit & loss analysis
*
Producing monthly management reports with commentary on budget and variance performance
*
Balance sheet reconciliations and highlighting discrepancies where necessary
*
Daily reconciliation of bank and sales transactions
*
Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register
*
Managing monthly and quarterly VAT submissions
*
Overseeing intercompany reconciliations and supporting purchase ledger management
*
Assisting with debtor management and cash allocation
*
Producing sales reports and other financial analysis as required
*
Supporting the external audit and annual planning process
About You
*
Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, with at least two years of experience in a similar accounting or management reporting role
*
Strong Excel skills and good general IT capability
*
Experience with Sage 200 (advantageous but not essential)
*
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
*
A confident communicator who works well across teams

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
*
