Management Accountant (PQ) | £40,000 - £45,000 + Study + Bonus | Chorley | Excellent mentorship and training | Exciting high-growth business
Axon Moore are pleased to be working exclusively for a highly-valued, industry-leading client as they look to recruit a Part Qualified/Finalist Management Accountant to their dynamic team. This role will play a leading role in the implementation of a new accounting system and take ownership for the management accounts of two divisional businesses whilst being responsible for two direct reports below.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare management accounts for two entities, including profit & loss, variance analysis and reconciliation work
Play a leading role in the implementation of a new accounting system
Manage transactional activity, i.e. AP, AR and cash management across division
Oversee the accounts assistants, ensuring collection of debt in a timely manner
Monitor KPIs, reporting and analysis
Assist in producing reports for senior management and the board
Submit quarterly VAT returns and processing VAT payments
Bank reconciliations
Intercompany accounting procedures
Contribute to process improvements and continual improvement practice
Assist with external audits
Support year-end procedures
Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Additional ad-hoc tasks requested by Financial Controller
Required Skills and Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience within a similar role
Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or AAT Qualified
Able to develop and maintain good internal and external working relationships
Able to efficiently manage a high-volume workload
Good IT and MS Excel skills
Proactive, self-motivated and organised
Able to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively
