Location: Tewkesbury (Office Based)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Job Description

Our client is a well-established business at the heart of a responsible and sustainable community. Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, the Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in providing accurate financial information and insights to support business decision-making. You will work closely with depot and department managers, the finance team, and other internal stakeholders to deliver management reporting, sales data analysis, and performance insights that drive business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  * Prepare and post on Sage:

  1. Monthly depot and stock valuations

  2. MIP production analysis reports

  3. Accruals for payroll, packaging, milk, cream, and bread

  4. Fuel account reconciliations and fleet accruals

  5. Monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations

  * Support sales data analysis and database maintenance (Access)

  * Prepare and reconcile monthly management and depot accounts, investigating and resolving variances

  * Maintain departmental performance reporting, e.g., Transport and Commercial

  * Prepare and reconcile MTD data and sales analysis using Excel

  * Support year-end stocktaking, audits, and tax analysis requirements

  * Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including uncleared cash balances

  * Undertake any other ad hoc finance tasks as required

Key Skills

  * CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified

  * 3–5 years’ experience in a management accounting role within a manufacturing or production environment

  * Strong Excel skills and experience with Sage 200 & Access

  * Excellent multitasking, prioritisation, and time management skills

  * Attention to detail, accuracy, and inquisitiveness

  * Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
