Management Accountant
Norwich | £35,000 - £45,000 + Study Support & Benefits
Are you looking for a management accounting role where you can broaden your experience and play a bigger part in the commercial side of the business?
We're working with a successful, privately owned business in Norwich that is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is a varied role where you'll work closely with senior management, producing meaningful financial information, supporting business decisions and helping to improve performance across the organisation.
Whether you're actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA or are qualified by experience, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a role that offers genuine variety, responsibility and career development.
The Role
Working as part of an established finance team, you'll take responsibility for producing accurate management information while building strong relationships with managers across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
  * Producing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  * Preparing financial analysis and performance commentary
  * Supporting budgeting and forecasting
  * Business partnering with managers across the business
  * Maintaining the fixed asset register
  * Assisting with VAT returns and year-end audit preparation
  * Producing KPI reporting using Power BI
  * Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and controls
  * Supporting and mentoring junior members of the finance team
About You
You'll already have experience within a management accounting role and enjoy understanding the story behind the numbers as much as producing them.
You'll also have:
  * ACCA or CIMA study underway, or be qualified by experience
  * Strong Excel skills
  * Experience using financial reporting systems
  * Power BI experience, or an interest in developing your reporting skills
  * The confidence to communicate with both finance and non-finance colleagues
  * A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing deadlines
