Job Description
A privately owned, fast-growing manufacturing business is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to lead day-to-day finance operations and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making. Backed by strong leadership and long-term investment, the business is expanding its footprint across the UK and internationally.
This is a high-impact, visible role reporting into an experienced Finance Director, offering excellent development for a qualified accountant looking to step into a broader leadership role.
Package to include:
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

1.30pm Friday finishKey Responsibilities
Lead the production of monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis
Manage rolling forecasts and cost centre reviews in partnership with operational and commercial teams
Oversee all aspects of transactional finance, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial controls are robust
Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns in full compliance with HMRC regulations
Provide margin and project costing analysis to drive commercial insight
Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of schedules and liaison with external auditors
Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting to support senior leadership decisions
Collaborate with IT to enhance reporting systems and streamline finance processes
Mentor and develop junior finance staff, creating a high-performing, well-supported teamIdeal Candidate
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or project-based environment preferred
Strong technical grounding in management reporting, forecasting, and compliance
Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing non-finance stakeholders
Ambitious, hands-on, and eager to contribute to a growing business
Proficient in Excel and finance systems, with a continuous improvement mindset
