Management Accountant
St Albans
£50,000 - £55,000 + Great Benefits
Our client a well known player within the leisure and entertainment sector, is looking to add to their team with the recruitment of a versatile management accountant.
The financial remit offers the opportunity to work with a collection of managers and departments, and provide value adding support as and where required. Key areas of focus:
* Assisting the Finance manager with production of the monthly management accounts including trial balance, P&L, Balance Sheet.
* Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations; investigating variances and explaining them to the Senior management team.
* Revenue recognition across multiple entities.
* Oversee the inter company process and ensure balances are cleared on a timely basis.
* Responsible for the Fixed asset register, including additions and disposals and running month end depreciation/amortisation.
* Summarising complex information with regards to opportunities and risk, providing detailed analysis to senior management.
* Cost of sales posting against ledger.
* AP supervision including PO approval, matching PO's to associated project values.
* Assisting with year end close down for multiple entities.
* Reviewing HMRC monthly payroll submissions and completion of the required payroll year end processes.
* Supporting FP&A function with payroll reporting, inputting monthly actuals and updating forecasts.
The position requires a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with hands on experience, working within a complex commercial environment, where the given remit is both flexible and fluid. They will have a track record of developing and maintaining working relationships across levels and departments and enjoy analysing and resolving complex issue and tasks. Intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities would be beneficial as would a strong working knowledge of SAP by Design.
