Company Details and Job Overview:
An experienced Management Accountant is required to join a service based business in Carlisle on fixed term contract basis of 9-12 months to cover maternity leave.
Our client is looking for a start date as soon as possible, to allow for a transition period into the role before maternity leave starts.
Working in a friendly team of accounts staff, this is an office based role which involves plenty of stakeholder interaction.

Your New Role as Management Accountant:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this Management Accountant position offers excellent variety and autonomy with many business facing aspects. Specific responsibilities will include:
• Management accounts production
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Oversight of sales and purchase ledger
• Assist the FC with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to help decision making process
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
You will be a fully fledged management accountant, competent in the full month end process. Strong IT skills are essential including Excel and knowledge of Access Dimensions is advantageous. Good communication and business partnering skills are also required for this role, with the ability to quickly “hit the ground running” after a short handover into the role.
