Job Description
We are currently supporting a successful and growing business in Chelmsford with the appointment of a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who is ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified and seeking a role that offers development, variety, and progression.
As Management Accountant, you will play a key part in supporting the Finance Manager and wider finance team in the production of timely and accurate management accounts. You will also assist in developing reporting processes, providing analysis, and contributing to financial decision-making within the business.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts and reports
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Variance analysis and commentary on performance
Balance sheet reconciliations and accruals/prepayments
Assisting with year-end audit and statutory requirements
Supporting process improvements and financial controls
Providing ad hoc financial analysis for managementAbout You
Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA, with a clear focus on progression
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Previous exposure to management or financial reporting
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across the business
