Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
Provide detailed financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with department heads to monitor and manage budgets effectively.
Oversee the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
Support the year-end audit process with relevant documentation and insights.
Continuously improve financial processes and systems for efficiency.Profile
A successful Management Accountant should be:
Ideally working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within the retail or a similar industry.
Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
