Job Description
MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT | BURNLEY | PERMANENT
Up to £50,000 DOE
Full time: 40hr per week (fully office based)
You will be…
Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, taking responsibility of the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation
Managing payroll function for staff and players
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Producing monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis
Preparing annual budgets and conducting cashflow forecasting and analysis
Ensuring compliance with EFL regulations, including all required submissions and reporting
Supervising and supporting the bookkeeper
Overseeing matchday ticketing operations, including system management and reconciliations
Liaising with club directors, auditors, and external bodies
You will have…
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
Confident senior finance professional with demonstrable experience across both practice and industry (preferred)
Experience using various financial software along with MS Excel (Sage preferred)
Willing and flexible to work outside standard hours during home fixtures
