The Company
We are currently collaborating with a specialist joinery subcontractor that serves exclusive residential projects, luxury hospitality venues, international brand retailers, and corporate head offices.
Founded over 100 years ago, they take pride in the traditional values of premier craftsmanship and a strong service ethic and have completed projects for some of London’s leading architectural practices and main contractors with package values ranging from £100k to £2+ million.
The Role
As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy, and direction of the business activities.
The Managing Director plays a crucial role in driving the success of the business, and responsibilities will vary based on the needs of the company.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Developing and implementing strategies to achieve the business objectives, which may include expanding market share, increasing profitability, or improving operational efficiency
* Building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring that the company delivers on its contractual obligations
* Overseeing the execution of projects or contracts that the subcontractor is involved in, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction
* Monitoring and managing the financial health of the subcontractor, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Providing leadership and direction to the subcontractor's employees, motivating them to perform at their best and fostering a positive and productive work environment
* Identifying potential risks to the subcontractor's business and implementing measures to mitigate them, such as implementing safety protocols or ensuring compliance with regulations
* Identifying opportunities for growth and expansion, whether through acquiring new clients, entering into new markets, or developing new service offeringsBefore You Apply
