Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Managing Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 Main Contractor to lead the commercial and cost management functions across construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who can deliver strong financial control, oversee project teams, and ensure commercial success from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs across multiple projects.
* Oversee all commercial aspects including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and final accounts.
* Provide accurate forecasting and regular financial reporting to senior management and clients.
* Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure best value and compliance with contractual terms.
* Support project delivery teams with commercial advice and risk management strategies.
* Drive continuous improvement in cost management processes and commercial performance.
* Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and health & safety regulations.
About You
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
* Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills.
* Proven ability to manage and mentor teams effectively.
* Experience with various forms of contract (e.g., JCT, NEC).
* Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skillsBefore You Apply
